Ankita Rawat is the founder and principal lawyer of Ankita S. Rawat Law, a boutique practice serving clients across Alberta and Ontario. Her practice focuses on family law and litigation, alongside real estate, immigration, corporate, and wills & estates matters. She supports clients navigating complex and often high-conflict situations, providing steady guidance through challenging transitions.
Ankita's family law experience includes parenting and decision-making disputes, child and spousal support, division of family property, and domestic violence matters. She prepares court-ready materials and regularly drafts affidavits, originating applications, financial statements, and case conference briefs, and appears before both the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King's Bench. She also supports negotiation, mediation, and settlement processes, including preparation for Judicial Dispute Resolution.
Before opening her own practice, Ankita built a strong legal foundation through roles in litigation, corporate, real estate, and securities law, including positions at national and international law firms and in the financial services sector. Her academic background — a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) from Northumbria University, followed by a Master of Laws from the University of California, Berkeley — sharpened her analytical skills and her understanding of complex legal and financial issues. This range of experience lets her approach every file with careful attention to detail and a practical understanding of complex financial and disclosure issues.
Known for her compassionate, client-centered approach, Ankita is committed to access to justice and trauma-informed service. She works to make sure clients feel heard, supported, and informed at every stage of their matter. Ankita was called to the Alberta Bar and the Ontario Bar in 2026, and continues to build her practice with family law at its core.
Outside the office, she enjoys cooking, dancing, hiking, and spending time with her family.
